Submission Guidelines
The Antiquarian Journal maintains strict university-level standards for all published student work. Please review our criteria before submitting your manuscript.
1. Academic Rigor and Originality
All submissions must represent original historical research. We do not publish standard school essays or unanalyzed summaries of historical events. Your paper must present a distinct thesis and defend it using documented evidence.
2. Primary Source Requirement
A hallmark of our journal is the emphasis on primary documents. Papers must heavily utilize and directly quote from primary sources (e.g., archival letters, treaties, original maps, material artifacts, period-specific newspaper clippings).
3. Formatting and Citations
We strictly adhere to the Chicago Manual of Style (Notes and Bibliography format). All claims must be supported by footnotes. Submissions lacking proper footnotes or a comprehensive bibliography will be returned without review.

Upon submission, your manuscript will undergo a blind peer-review process by our Editorial Board. You will receive structured feedback within 14 days, detailing required revisions or acceptance status.
